Koke Benavides is a rising professional guitarist and composer from Chile and has been an official .strandberg* artist since 2017.
Beginning his musical studies at the age of 13, Koke started his musical career in the year 2002 as a guitarist and composer for the progressive metal band Octopus, who released 3 albums (Bonsai in 2006, Coda in 2008, and Into The Void Of Fear in 2013). To date, Koke has released 2 solo albums (Overload in 2015 and Perspectiva in 2020) in a style of music that mixes jazz, electronic music, and progressive metal.
Furthermore, the acclaimed musician has worked as a session musician with different artists and Latin American bands in differing music styles from pop and hip hop to metal and beyond.
Koke has also taught music professionally in different schools and academies throughout Chile over the course of the last 20 years.
Currently, he is working on his own solo project, as well as having reunited with his original band Octopus. His latest project is with the fusion band Hat-Trick, who are also currently working on new material.
