What Makes It Special?

The Boden Standard was developed to provide great majority of the premium features found on such models as the Original, Prog, and Fusion but with a solid American Basswood body, Quilted or Flame Maple veneers on a solid 1/4” Maple top. This Limited Edition model features a Quilted Maple top veneer in a Red Burst finish as well as the Suhr SSH+ and SSV humbuckers to take the Standard tremolo to a new realm of sonic performance.

What Does It Do?

The combination of Basswood with a solid Maple top and Maple neck/fretboard is considered the “Holy Grail” of electric guitar wood combinations by many top guitar builders and artists alike, producing an ideal balance between warmth, punch, brilliance and sustain for an extremely well-rounded sound that’ll excel at virtually any musical genre or playing style. The Suhr HH configuration of the SSH+ and SSV humbucker pickups is one of the most versatile setups that the modern guitarist can hope for in a dual humbucker setup. From metal and shred to clean warm jazz and classic rock and blues to country and funk, this Standard Limited Edition can do it all with a minimum of fuss.

Who Is It For?

This Standard Limited Edition model is for players who do not require premium features such as chambered body and 4A-grade figured top/fretboard but require the same premium look, sound and features that provide the performance they need as well as long-lasting value. Like our Classic models, the solidbody construction offers a different type of feel and sound than the chambered-body guitars but still delivers the trademark .strandberg* clarity, articulation, sustain, and warm woody character that our guitars have become known for.

Featuring solid American Basswood body with solid Maple top and Quilted Maple top veneer along with Roasted Maple neck and fretboard, the Standard has what many guitar builders and top pro players consider the “Holy Grail” of wood combination in a modern electric guitar. Balanced and big sounding from top to bottom but with the punchy and cutting mids to cut through the mix, this acoustic character is now complemented on this Limited Edition model with the Suhr humbuckers with a special 5-way wiring to deliver everything from bone-crunching metal and over-the-top shred to crystal clean single-coil sounds as well as earthy classic rock and bluesy tones.
