The goal of the ‘J Artisan’ was to push the limits in the realm of the ultra-high-end instruments for the tone connoisseurs and collectors who seek the very best in materials and workmanship. Exquisite and exotic woods provide not only alluring visual beauty, but also complex acoustic characteristics not typically found in mass production instruments. The result is an instrument that imparts a sophisticated and more woody feel, natural acoustic tonal character, and fast and smooth playability. The Suhr™ SSH+/SSV pickups perfectly complement the organic tonal character and represent some of the best pickups in the industry.

This third run in a series of 12 monthly runs of 10 exquisite instruments is truly special in that it features a Honduras Mahogany body and solid Koa top with resin-fill options in Navy Blue, Green, and White Pearl. The neck is constructed of Wenge with Purple Heart fillets for rock-solid stability and an oil finish for a fast and smooth feel. The White Ebony fretboard provides a slick playing surface, tonal brilliance, and a fast transient attack.

This is the first J Artisan series with the EGS Rev7 Tremolo System and the rich acoustic characteristics of these instruments is captured by a set of Suhr™ SSH+/SSV Humbuckers with push/pull coil-split on the tone control for tonal versatility. All J Artisan guitars are delivered in a heavily-padded .strandberg* Deluxe Gig Bag and are accompanied by a COA, a .strandberg* wall hanger, and an ACME Vitalgrip guitar strap.
