Next level guitar

This guitar is the best one I played with so far. The sound is very versatile and sounds great with each tone. What I love the most is the ergonomy of it. It is lightweight and small, so you can easily take it with you on your travels. The neck plays amazingly, is very smooth and is at the perfect width for me. The knobs are also a pleasure to handle. The design and finish are very modern and top notch. It is very hard not to play this beauty as soon as I look at it. The only downsides for me are the bolt-on neck which gets in the way of the highest frets as well as the strings' mechanics. It is a bit hard to turn the tuning keys (although it stays in tune after that). Also, due to my play style, I can easily get injured with the parts on the nut because they are sharp on the edges. But I should get used to these in a few months. Overall, I think this will be my number one for a long time. Thanks a lot for this amazing guitar !

Thanks for the great review - if it makes you want to play more, the goal is accomplished! Hopefully, you will get used to the nut section quickly, but it is great feedback for future development.

Hands down if it’s worth your time it’s worth your money.

Lovely amazing instrument. I’ve been jamming for 2 days now little adjustment with new string and neck but it feels natural. They don’t call it the enduraneck for no reason. Like 3 hours in and I’m not fatigued at all

Great guitar

I really like the Boden Original 7 Red. It fits very well, the weight is great and it sounds as expected. Only the guitar strap squeaks disturbingly on the wood. Furthermore I find the guitar stand a bit too expensive. But I would buy the instrument again and hope that the true temperament instruments with more than six strings will be available again soon.

Boden Original 7

It has been years since I bought a new guitar. I own a couple of 6 strings and 7 strings, mainly use EMG Pickups and have bought/modified guitars with an Evertune bridge. Actually I've known and seen your brand pass by multiple times by different artists but never actually thought of buying. I recently listened to the band Arch Echo, which I really like. That's how the brand caught my interest. I told my girlfriend that 'maybe' I should buy one. I actually never saw one in real life or even played one. I'm normally not an impulsive buyer at all, but it all looked really great and made sense to me. Well, the instrument is exactly like expected. I finally am able to play longer bursts while standing (I have some back problems). The only thing that's a bit weird is the instrument is so light that it 'moves' faster when standing, so a little getting used to that now. The action on the instrument was a bit too flat, so I did small modification of the truss rod, so strings are just a little higher. I do have to tune every time I play, which is a little step back from Evertune, but overall it stays in tune quite good. The problem with Evertune is... it's heavy! I definitely would love to buy a six string in the future. The whole shape makes sense too, I usually sit down while playing. I like to sit down like most people, resting the guitar on the right leg. I also like to rest it on the left leg and have my left leg on a small stand. The shape allows to do this, so that's great. The cool thing is I can switch between three positions: right leg, left leg and standing up. This definitely helps my body, because I love to play many hours a day. There is basically nothing that I would like to see changed. I did notice that the six string version doesn't have the pickups mounted in at an angle. I actually like it more angled with the bridge, because that way the bridge pickup pickups up a really tight sound. The model I bought (the seven string) has it angled with the bridge, that's great. One thing: the push pull knobs for volume and tone. I'm not sure what they do... Is it like a passive fishman sound? I guess one makes it sound more like passives and the other one like single coils?

Unique Qualities

Anatomy of a Strandberg

There are many design elements and factors that comprise a .strandberg* guitar. Each aspect - from the materials and components used to the ergonomic design features - has been carefully thought out and implemented to produce a guitar that is light weight, easy to play and has a big woody organic sound. Explore these different aspects that set a .strandberg* guitar apart from the rest.

Headless

By removing weight from the headstock, your guitar can be made very light and yet balanced. You can play with greater comfort for longer.

Versatile Body Shape

The body shape provides multiple seated playing positions for maximum comfort and versatility.

Scale Lengths Adapted to You

A multi-scale design allows your wrist to remain relaxed throughout the range of play. A longer scale length for the heavier strings provide better tone, and shorter in the thinner strings better playability.

Patented Neck Profile

Our patented EndurNeck™ profile promotes a more correct playing position. The result: you can play longer, faster, better and avoid injury.

Space Age Materials

Our hunt for great tone and low weight led us to using aircraft grade aluminium and carbon fiber for maximum performance.

Proprietary Hardware

The custom .strandberg* hardware is a vital contributor to the tone of the instrument. Lightweight aircraft grade aluminium and tight coupling of components ensure that nothing prevents the strings' vibrations from entering the body.
