During the course of manufacturing of this guitar model, the color of the roasted maple has varied to some degree. The wood is roasted to achieve the desired properties (tonal response and dimensional stability in different weather conditions) and not to a certain color. This means that the color sometimes does not match that of the product photos, which were taken of the first produced sample guitars. We are working on a revised process and acquiring new equipment for roasting maple that will give us greater control of the results, which should be in place in early 2021. Until then, if you have any concerns about the color of the roasted maple neck or fretboard before ordering, please reach out to us through the contact form at the bottom of this page, and we will be happy to send you a photo in advance, or talk you through the process. I am really happy with my new strandy! It is so comfortable, plays really good and sounds so great! Fred from the sales team helped me sending photos of the actual guitar before I placed the order. Also the delivery was very quick. If I can point out just one small thing that can be improved is the finishing of the frets at the bottom of the neck, as some of them are a bit rough. Other than that, I'm very pleased to own such a great instrument!!
Thank you for the review and 5 stars, Alexandre. When buying a refurbished instrument, a couple of photos can be very helpful and we're always happy to help out with that. Sorry about the rough fret ends though. Please get in touch with us if you need our support.
This is the first high-end guitar I thought about buying and I haven’t regretted it for a second! The endure neck is easy to get used to. The burned maple neck is the best I’ve ever played. Its a bit getting used to tuning with no headstock, the tuning knobs are a bit stiff but the tuning stability is great. If you’re a fan of the boden look, you’ll love how it plays. The cut outs are just perfect to play in every position. Its also the lightest guitar I’ve ever held. Its easy to hold for a long time and to pick out of a rack with stretched arms. Overall its an amazing quality guitar and its worth the buy!
Thanks for the detailed review and 5 stars, Dries! /Ola
I was looking for a baritone or 7-string guitar for my home studio when I revisited the idea of trying out a Strandberg. Having owned a couple of heavy 7- string guitars with varying amounts of intonation problems they were rarely played and eventually sold. This guitar was a positive surprise on so many levels. It arrived in a plug-and-play condition, perfectly set-up. It weighs ”nothing” and sounds fantastic! Great resonance, sustain and intonation and so easy and comfortable to play!
Thanks for the great review, Per - I'm happy we were able to exceed your expectations! /Ola
This guitar is the best one I played with so far. The sound is very versatile and sounds great with each tone. What I love the most is the ergonomy of it. It is lightweight and small, so you can easily take it with you on your travels. The neck plays amazingly, is very smooth and is at the perfect width for me. The knobs are also a pleasure to handle. The design and finish are very modern and top notch. It is very hard not to play this beauty as soon as I look at it. The only downsides for me are the bolt-on neck which gets in the way of the highest frets as well as the strings' mechanics. It is a bit hard to turn the tuning keys (although it stays in tune after that). Also, due to my play style, I can easily get injured with the parts on the nut because they are sharp on the edges. But I should get used to these in a few months. Overall, I think this will be my number one for a long time. Thanks a lot for this amazing guitar !
Thanks for the great review - if it makes you want to play more, the goal is accomplished! Hopefully, you will get used to the nut section quickly, but it is great feedback for future development.
Lovely amazing instrument. I’ve been jamming for 2 days now little adjustment with new string and neck but it feels natural. They don’t call it the enduraneck for no reason. Like 3 hours in and I’m not fatigued at all
Thanks for the great review - happy to hear that the EndurNeck is doing what it should!
