Virtually Perfect Tuning Anywhere On The Fretboard

Boden+ True Temperament NX

BODEN DESIGN WITH REVOLUTIONARY FRETTING

All the ergonomic design benefits and the unique sonic characteristics of the Boden are taken a big step further with the revolutionary True Temperament fretting system which offers virtually perfect tuning anywhere on the fretboard. Lightweight chambered body with time-tested tonewoods, aircraft-grade aluminum hardware, patented EndurNeck™, and industry standard pickups and electronics from .strandberg* and Fishman meld together with a fretting system into an instrument that has to be heard and felt to be believed.

IMPROVED TUNING THAT MAXIMIZES RESONANCE

The True Temperament fretting system was certainly not designed with visual aesthetics in mind. This is all about getting the best tuning and intonation possible on a guitar. Every note you play on the fretboard sounds more in tune than you’ve heard before but it’s especially noticeable on the chords you play. The “beating” of notes that are not in tune with each other is eliminated, improving the perceived loudness as well as the overall sustain. When you strum a chord, the notes within the chord all seem to bloom together in perfect harmony. Not only will you hear the tuning sweetness in your ears, you will feel the instrument resonating in a way you have not experienced before.

CUSTOM CALIBRATED FOR THE BODEN SCALE LENGTHS

The True Temperament fretting system on each of these Boden models is custom calibrated to the multi-scale lengths of the 6-string (25.5” to 25.0”), 7-string (26.25” to 25.5”) and 8-string (28.0” to 26.5”) models so you can simultaneously experience the full benefits of both cutting-edge concepts in modern guitar technology. Balanced tension from the lowest to the highest strings and a more ergonomic spread of the scale lengths are coupled with the most advanced tuning system to offer a truly exceptional and unmatched playing experience – both physically and aurally. See, feel, and hear how far you can take your playing and music with all the benefits that the Boden+ NX True Temperament offers.

The True Temperament NX Concept

Unique Qualities

Anatomy of a Strandberg

There are many design elements and factors that comprise a .strandberg* guitar. Each aspect - from the materials and components used to the ergonomic design features - has been carefully thought out and implemented to produce a guitar that is light weight, easy to play and has a big woody organic sound. Explore these different aspects that set a .strandberg* guitar apart from the rest.

Headless

By removing weight from the headstock, your guitar can be made very light and yet balanced. You can play with greater comfort for longer.

Versatile Body Shape

The body shape provides multiple seated playing positions for maximum comfort and versatility.

Scale Lengths Adapted to You

A multi-scale design allows your wrist to remain relaxed throughout the range of play. A longer scale length for the heavier strings provide better tone, and shorter in the thinner strings better playability.

Patented Neck Profile

Our patented EndurNeck™ profile promotes a more correct playing position. The result: you can play longer, faster, better and avoid injury.

Space Age Materials

Our hunt for great tone and low weight led us to using aircraft grade aluminium and carbon fiber for maximum performance.

Proprietary Hardware

The custom .strandberg* hardware is a vital contributor to the tone of the instrument. Lightweight aircraft grade aluminium and tight coupling of components ensure that nothing prevents the strings' vibrations from entering the body.
