Over-the-top brutal yet musically articulate and expressive

The Boden ‘Metal’

What makes it special?

Besides all of the base features of the Metal model, the Sarah Longfield Edition features Sarah’s unique and visually striking Black Doppler finish. Creatively and spontaneously conceived by Sarah, the finishing process requires painstakingly detailed workmanship from the application of the artwork decal to the final gloss finish and buffing. The result is an instrument that is as artistically stunning as it is musically versatile.

What does it do?

The wood combination of the Metal model was thoughtfully selected for the best possible high-gain distortion sounds as well as versatility. Featuring chambered American Basswood body with a quarter-inch Maple top, the body delivers a full and rich midrange with a defined and punchy low-end. The Roasted Maple neck adds tightness and articulation while the Ebony fretboard contributes sparkle as well as an exceptionally smooth playing surface. The Fishman Fluence Modern pickups deliver these acoustic characteristics with authority and musicality while offering a wide variety of humbucker and single-coil tones for the utmost in versatility.

Who is it for?

The Metal Sarah Longfield Edition is for players who seek an instrument that has a unique visual aesthetic as well as the best in modern guitar design, ergonomics, playability and sound. Underneath the stunning look is an instrument that resonates loudly and which responds to your most aggressive pick attack through the most delicate touch like no other. In short, this guitar is for the thoroughly modern guitarist willing to push the sonic limits of what the guitar can produce while having the flexibility to access great classic sounds.

The Fishman Fluence Modern soapbar humbuckers – specially designed for the needs of the extra low-B string – faithfully deliver the acoustic character of this instrument with power, punch and tonal flexibility to your amplification systems and provide the versatility to suit virtually any musical genre and playing style.

The Sarah Longfield Edition Concept

Unique Qualities

Anatomy of a Strandberg

There are many design elements and factors that comprise a .strandberg* guitar. Each aspect - from the materials and components used to the ergonomic design features - has been carefully thought out and implemented to produce a guitar that is light weight, easy to play and has a big woody organic sound. Explore these different aspects that set a .strandberg* guitar apart from the rest.

Headless

By removing weight from the headstock, your guitar can be made very light and yet balanced. You can play with greater comfort for longer.

Versatile Body Shape

The body shape provides multiple seated playing positions for maximum comfort and versatility.

Scale Lengths Adapted to You

A multi-scale design allows your wrist to remain relaxed throughout the range of play. A longer scale length for the heavier strings provide better tone, and shorter in the thinner strings better playability.

Patented Neck Profile

Our patented EndurNeck™ profile promotes a more correct playing position. The result: you can play longer, faster, better and avoid injury.

Space Age Materials

Our hunt for great tone and low weight led us to using aircraft grade aluminium and carbon fiber for maximum performance.

Proprietary Hardware

The custom .strandberg* hardware is a vital contributor to the tone of the instrument. Lightweight aircraft grade aluminium and tight coupling of components ensure that nothing prevents the strings' vibrations from entering the body.
