Classic styling and sound with the modern .strandberg* design and ergonomics

The Boden Classic

What makes it special?

The Boden Classic is the .strandberg* take on the tried-and-true traditional bolt-on solidbody electric guitars with a pickguard. Featuring solid Alder body with Maple neck and Maple or Pau Ferro fretboard, the overall sound is familiar yet with the distinctive .strandberg* sound and feel. The 6-string Classic 6 Tremolo features .strandberg*-designed humbucker bridge pickup and two vintage-flavored single-coil pickups while the 7- and 8-string models feature two humbuckers that were all wound to .strandberg*’s exacting specifications.

What does it do?

Premium-grade two-piece Alder body coupled with roasted Maple neck and roasted Maple or Pau Ferro fretboard produces a big and fat sound with a focused punch that .strandberg* guitars have become known for. The new colorful satin finishes not only look striking but feel luxurious and smooth to the touch while the 3-piece roasted Maple neck with carbon fiber reinforcement provides rock-solid stability while the expertly dressed stainless steel frets facilitate fast and precise playing and silky-feeling string bends.

Who is it for?

Although the styling and sound may seem ideally suited for classic rock, the Classic can easily cover a wide range of sounds from pop and reggae to shred and modern metal without missing a beat. The solidbody construction and the pickups on a pickguard give the Classic models a different type of feel and sound from our other models but it is still uniquely .strandberg* with its trademark clarity, articulation, and an organic woody character.

The Graphite Classic 6 Tremolo features a black pearloid pickguard and roasted maple fretboard.

Boden Classic 6 Trem

Super happy with the product! I was looking for a new guitar for many years but being so picky I could never find the right one. When Boden Classic line appeared I was excited because the price was finally in my range, although I was sceptical if that would be reflected in the quality. Also, I lived in a town in Northern Finland at the time, so there wasn't any stores etc where I could try it out. I decided to order it anyway without trying it first due to the no questions asked return policy. The quality of the product blew me away. Intonation, fretwork, set-up... I mean the thing was in tune when it arrived. It plays great, stays in tune and gets the job done. Couldn't be happier, thanks guys!!

Great guitar, excellent customer service, Questionable/Unfortunate QC

The guitar plays amazingly. Feels good and sounds good. Arrived with a few issues, tremolo arm wasn’t locking into the body, knobs were loose and there was a small dent on the back of the neck. Got in touch with the support and received great service. Had the guitar sent back, fixed up and returned to my possession. Sadly the knobs are still a bit loose, which is not a major issue but is still something that is a shame to have on a guitar at that price point. The dent on the back of the neck was dealt with well. I noticed after receiving it back that there is a tool mark/dent on the 22nd fret below the low e string, as well as the switch being unreliable (shaky and loose) when in the neck and neck+middle position. Despite these shortcomings, I would absolutely recommend this brand and will definitely look into acquiring another one in the future. Hoping QC will be where it definitely can be regarding efficiency.

.strandberg* Guitars EU

Pedro, thanks for the honest and detailed review of your Boden Classic 6. We're happy we were able to get you to a point where the guitar does what it's supposed to and that you seem to be enjoying it. We have taken your notes about QC issues, including the knobs and tremolo arm, on board, and will certainly do our best to avoid this in the future.

Unique Qualities

Anatomy of a Strandberg

There are many design elements and factors that comprise a .strandberg* guitar. Each aspect - from the materials and components used to the ergonomic design features - has been carefully thought out and implemented to produce a guitar that is light weight, easy to play and has a big woody organic sound. Explore these different aspects that set a .strandberg* guitar apart from the rest.

Headless

By removing weight from the headstock, your guitar can be made very light and yet balanced. You can play with greater comfort for longer.

Versatile Body Shape

The body shape provides multiple seated playing positions for maximum comfort and versatility.

Scale Lengths Adapted to You

A multi-scale design allows your wrist to remain relaxed throughout the range of play. A longer scale length for the heavier strings provide better tone, and shorter in the thinner strings better playability.

Patented Neck Profile

Our patented EndurNeck™ profile promotes a more correct playing position. The result: you can play longer, faster, better and avoid injury.

Space Age Materials

Our hunt for great tone and low weight led us to using aircraft grade aluminium and carbon fiber for maximum performance.

Proprietary Hardware

The custom .strandberg* hardware is a vital contributor to the tone of the instrument. Lightweight aircraft grade aluminium and tight coupling of components ensure that nothing prevents the strings' vibrations from entering the body.
