Tremolo Block Brass
This tremolo spring block is identical to the stock spring block but made from bell brass instead of aircraft grade aluminium. The weight of this block is 118 grams (4.16 oz), compared to 37 grams (1.31 oz) of the standard block – over 300% heavier. The sound is slightly warmer, and reigns in the sparkly high registers for more vintage distortion tones.
Note that in order to fit this tremolo spring block, the tremolo unit has to be removed from the guitar and disassembled, including removing the tuners and putting them back again. If you have any doubts about your ability to carry this work out, please enlist the help of someone with the appropriate skills. Strandberg Guitars cannot be held responsible for any damage caused from incorrect disassembly/reassembly of the tremolo unit.
