This 5th run of J Artisan guitars combine the best materials and exquisite craftsmanship with ground-breaking modern guitar design. A chambered Swamp Ash body paired with a unique one-piece solid Tochi top produces a strong high-midrange with full, punchy lows and sweet, singing highs. The .strandberg* EGS Rev7 hardware and Suhr™ SSH+/SSV pickups deliver the utmost in functionality, sonic performance, and tonal versatility.

GENERAL INFO

BODY

These guitars feature chambered Swamp Ash bodies and solid Tochi (Japanese Chestnut) tops with finish options in Trans Pink gloss, Pacific Blue Burst gloss, and Brown Burst gloss, each offering a visual aesthetic with a distinctively premium look and feel.

NECK

The neck is constructed of Wenge with Purple Heart fillets for beauty and rock-solid stability and has an oil finish for a fast and smooth feel. Choose from three distinct fretboard options: Ebony, Wenge or Flame Maple, all set to a 20” radius. It features 24 frets, and Sanko SUS315 Stainless Steel Fretwire.

HARDWARE

J Artisan #5 guitars feature the state-of-the-art .strandberg* EGS Rev7 fixed tuners and string lock, in anodized black finish. To accentuate the design, they feature Original Luminlay™ Green Side Dots and Inlays.

SONIC PROFILE

The complex and rich acoustic characteristics of these instruments are faithfully captured by a set of Suhr™ SSV/SSH+ Humbucking pickups, with a a 3-way blade pickup selector, a master volume control with treble bleed circuitry, and a master tone control with push/pull for coil-split of both pickups for tonal versatility.
