The new Boden Standard 6 Sarah Longfield Edition was developed for Sarah’s desire to offer a more affordable version of her artist edition model while retaining most of the major features and the striking aesthetics that make it one of our most popular models in the Boden lineup. Featuring the base wood specs of the Metal model with a smooth satin Black Doppler finish, this new version is now equipped with our highly regarded OEM passive pickups that can cover a wide variety of sounds and styles and the new sculpted neck-join heel for greater comfort when playing in the higher registers of the fretboard.

Visually defined by the unique Black Doppler finish, the Boden Standard 6 Sarah Longfield Edition is a versatile instrument that can cover a wide variety of musical styles and genres besides metal. Creatively and spontaneously conceived by Sarah, the finishing process requires painstakingly detailed workmanship from the application of the artwork decal to the final satin clear coat finish. The result is an instrument that is as artistically stunning as it is musically versatile.
What Does It Do?
The wood combination of this model was thoughtfully selected for the best possible high-gain distortion sounds as well as versatility. Featuring a solid American Basswood body with a quarter-inch Maple top, the body delivers a full and rich midrange with a defined and punchy low-end. The Roasted Maple neck adds tightness and articulation while the Ebony fretboard contributes sparkle as well as an exceptionally smooth playing surface. The .strandberg* OEM humbuckers provide high output with a high-midrange emphasis for superb overdrive and distortion sounds and can also be dialed down with the volume pot for great classic rock and spanky clean single-coil sounds for pop/funk applications.
