The Prog NX 6 Plini Edition has been one of our most popular signature models for a long time and for good reason. The Mahogany body and neck, Ebonol fretboard, Suhr SSH+/SSV humbuckers, and the EGS Rev7 tremolo system combined with a simplistic control setup make up a guitar that lets the player focus solely on expression. Compared to many other .strandberg* models, the Prog NX 6 Plini Edition has a warmer tone with a pronounced vocal midrange for singing lead sounds and warm clean sounds with definition.

What makes it special?
An instrument that is exactly as Plini plays it for both live and recording applications, the Prog NX 6 Plini Edition incorporates NX features such as the Rev7 hardware, the sculpted neck-joint heel, and the repositioned arm bevel as well as a Mahogany body and neck with Ebonol fretboard and Suhr SSH+/SSV pickups to achieve Plini’s vision of what his ultimate instrument should be. The iconic visuals remain intact from the front but the Mahogany woods on the back impart a luxurious richness as well as a girthier and warmer tone, making it one of the most striking .strandberg* guitars available.

The Prog NX 6 Plini Edition was designed to be simple yet versatile while delivering the best possible performance and maximum playability so Plini can focus on playing and making music. Like all .strandberg* instruments, the Plini Edition was designed and built to be an extension of the artist – visually, sonically, technically, and artistically. Suhr passive humbuckers provide a wide range of sounds with only a volume control and a 3-way switch.
