A look into the creative process of @plini's 2023 "Mirage" EP, the spark behind the new Boden Standard NX 6 Plini Edition Mirage release. 🌙✍️ Captured through the lens and imagination of artist @patti.bai, these behind-the-scenes moments and concept sketches bring the world of "Mirage" to life in a way only Patti can.

“From the start, Mirage was envisioned as a surreal, ambiguous place, inhabited by enigmatic figures. Somewhere beyond the edge of consciousness.

As Plini and I exchanged visual, auditory, and cultural references, the world of Mirage began to reveal itself. Moebius’ desertscapes. The post-apocalyptic valleys of Nausicaä. The deeply saturated hues and playful lines of Miró.

Over the course of two years, I explored this vision through countless sketches in ink and graphite, digital and analogue. The Strandberg Mirage Edition guitar captures the essence of these early explorations, with its signature asymmetrical form providing a nice resonance with the artwork. The result is a beautiful, tactile object that I hope will be enjoyed for years to come.
