Over-the-top brutal yet musically articulate and expressive

The Boden ‘Metal’

What makes it special?

Visually sleek and futuristic, the Metal model was designed for over-the-top metal sounds that are still articulate and expressive as well as being exceptionally versatile to cover various other genres of music. The model name certainly belies what is hidden beneath its shiny aggressive look. Underneath the metallic gloss finish, the body consists of American Basswood for a full-sounding midrange that emphasizes the low-mids and is complemented by a solid quarter-inch plain Maple top to provide a fast transient attack and high-end brilliance.

What does it do?

The neck features roasted Maple neck with Ebony fretboard for a fast and sleek feel as well as a meaty yet cutting sound. Combined with the Basswood/Maple body, this particular wood combination is very versatile but seems particularly well suited to high-gain applications with its big low-midrange for pulverizing metal rhythm sounds while providing the high-end cut and sizzle for high speed lead tones.

Who is it for?

Each Metal model features the innovative Fishman Fluence humbucker pickups that combine the power and clarity of active pickups with the organic sound and feel of passive pickups as well as superb single-coil tones, making it an incredibly versatile instrument for many other musical genres besides metal.
