#32 – Ron Gilmartin

About This Project

#32 came into being as a happy accident. Ron had played #14 at NAMM and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, it was already sold to Kohei Murakami. But due to a slight administrative glitch, #14 had been completed with a Rosewood fretboard, where a Cocobolo fretboard had been requested. The #14 neck has an asymmetric profile, “fat” on one side and “thin” on the other, which means it is not for everyone. When it became apparent that Ron had been dreaming of #14 and that the original neck he played at NAMM was gathering dust in the workshop, it was an easy decision to wrap up a new body.
