While other contemporary artists are increasingly eschewing high-speed, technical shred in favour of a more melodic and softer sound, Seth Grey remains unashamedly faithful to the adrenaline-fuelled, dopamine-saturated highs of a traditional high-tech genre. With what can only be described as the quirky use of synthetic interweaves, his music evokes a harsh, futuristic feel, reminiscent of rusty metal being repurposed. You will hear the full flavour of this echoed throughout his first full-length album, due for release later this year.
Seth loves the feeling of being lost in the throbbing sounds of live-DJ mixed music in clubs and venues. He draws inspiration from the sounds created by highly skilled producers, such as Skrillex, and loves the forward-thinking sound of artists like Mick Gordon and The Algorithm.
Empathetically relating to Jason Richardson’s track, “Tedinitis”, Seth sourced a .strandberg* guitar due to its innovative EndurNeck and has never looked back. He now only gets pain after his gym workouts.
“Playing a .strandberg* has been life-changing. I suffered from significant wrist pain due to overreaching around the neck on my previous guitars. My research led me to hope the EndurNeck would solve it, and I’ve never looked back.” – Seth Grey

Boden Prog NX 7 Natural Quilt
The Boden Standard Series guitars were developed to provide the same key features that our guitars are acclaimed for but with solidbody construction, our own design pickups, and figured Maple top veneers to reduce costs and offer a line that delivers outstanding value as well as topflight performance. The solidbody has a distinctively different kind of sound and response than the chambered body and it isn’t better or worse: just different and a matter of personal preference.
"Seth's technical mastery is matched by his thoughtful compositions and his ongoing dedication to evolving. Definitely one of the most exciting new players whose contributions add real value to the world of guitar instrumental."
